Happy Pink Saturday, y'all! I'm feeling much better today, but not quite 100%, since I used up most of my energy making my hair look decent and putting on a little lipstick ... sound familiar?
I found this graphic at Vera's Seams To Sew and Quilt blog earlier today, and decided it would make a fun Pink Saturday post. I cleaned up the graphic a bit and resized it, so be sure to click on the image for the full-sized version if you want to snag a copy.
Although the Woman's Remote made me smile, most of the stuff on it doesn't apply to my life. There are three men in my house (rockin' hubster Ray, plus 2 college-aged sons), and none of them would ever imagine leaving a toilet seat -- or lid -- up. If only they could train their friends who visit ...
The Smith Men do their own laundry, 99% of the cooking, and virtually all of the grocery shopping. They also do the dishes and put them away, and they have a unique argument-stopping apology that works in all situations:
"I'm sorry, it's all my fault, it will never happen again."
My men are polite and generous with compliments. They open doors, and pull out chairs. They run errands and are happy to go out at 10 p.m. to pick up a fabulous dessert. And, wherever they've been, they always call on the way home to ask if there's anything I need.
How's that for being treated like a queen?
Pink Saturday is hosted by Beverly at How Sweet The Sound. Be sure to stop by for a full list of this week's participants, and to find out how to join the fun.
